The Alcatel-Lucent Alliance and Applications Partner Program (AAPP) offers three levels of membership. Participants include:

• Open Developers
• Members
• Partners

Alcatel-Lucent has created the Open Developer category to enable developers to develop their applications independently. Membership benefits include free access to Alcatel-Lucent's XML APIs Web services. Developers do not need to be telephony experts to use these APIs and export key Alcatel-Lucent communication features to their Web-based applications. The Open Developer membership level is the first step in participating in the Alcatel-Lucent XML Developer Forum.

Alcatel-Lucent provides AAPP Members with access to a wide range of development tools and services including:

• Development tools and expert support
• Application interworking certification
• Post-sales technical support for certified applications

These tools and services enable AAPP Members to develop and test their interfaces with Alcatel-Lucent platforms and software suites.

The AAPP Program helps promote Partner applications with Alcatel-Lucent's customers and business partners. A large range of promotional initiatives are launched to provide the best possible exposure: guides and brochures, Website references, trade shows and events, demonstrations, sales toolkits and training, press releases etc.
