The Alcatel-Lucent Alliance and Applications Partner Program (AAPP) provides registered Members with a large array of development tools and services, which can be accessed through the Member Resource Center. These development tools and services include: Technical documentation and software development kits (SDK)Reserved APIs Alcatel-Lucent has documented a set of reserved interfaces supported by its communication platforms, for which provides software development kits (SDKs) that include technical documentation, drivers and documented examples. Reserved APIs are private and are available only to AAPP Members. Open APIsExtensive tools are also provided for XML APIs. Technical assistanceAlcatel-Lucent provides AAPP Members with technical assistance during all phases of development, certification and customer installation. As of January 1st, 2010, technical assistance will be an option, and will have to be ordered separately. This assistance, which is available only to registered participants, covers the following topics:
Technical assistance is provided mainly by telephone and e-mail. Technical assistance as described above is provided for reserved APIs. For XML APIs, Alcatel-Lucent provides online assistance to XML Developers. Lab platformsA set of starter kits is provided by Alcatel-Lucent at a discounted price. The starter kits are based on Alcatel-Lucent's various platforms and software suites, including the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Office, Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise, Alcatel-Lucent OmniTouch, etc. Access to Alcatel-Lucent's testing platformRegistered Members may use Alcatel-Lucent's in-house testing platform with the assistance of an expert. The platform, located on Alcatel-Lucent premises, includes pre-installed, pre-configured hardware and software. The platform configuration may vary depending on the particular nature of the application to be tested. For XML APIs, an e-testing platform is available, which enables participants to test their applications remotely. CertificationMembers can have their application formally verified through an interworking report. Tests are carried out in the presence of one or more representatives of the Partner company and an Alcatel-Lucent technical support engineer. The test conditions, the environment and the selection of tested features are decided jointly. An interworking test report (IWR) is then established. It contains the results of interworking tests, application configuration information, as well as any known potential interworking limitations. Interworking reports of Alcatel-Lucent Certified Applications are promoted on the Alcatel-Lucent Business Partner Web site (access to which is limited to Alcatel-Lucent Business Partners). Logo and certificateA logo and certificate is awarded to each Certified Application attesting to the fact that the Certified Application has been verified to interwork with Alcatel-Lucent platforms. Other benefitsMembers with a Certified Application are indexed in the Applications Partner search tool, making them more visible to end customers and business partners alike. | |
